Joe Ruffo’s artistic talents were recognized early. He always knew that art would, if not rule his life, be a very important aspect of it.

His art has taken him in directions no one could have predicted. From studying printmaking as a Fulbright Scholar to Brazil to his current new direction using hand-made, archival paper to create abstract images. Joe’s talents are not afraid of exploration.

Along the journey have been sojourns into depicting common objects with what critics called “visual richness,” and wearable art made of sterling silver that reflect formations of nature and archaeological themes.

Joe’s diverse body of work has endured fads and fashion. His prints, drawings, graphics design and limited edition artists books have been admired and collected by corporate and private collectors and galleries, both national and international for decades.
